Have anyone had lasik eye surgery? If so how is it an what are the side affect?

I have and I love it! It has been a little over 3 years and still see perfect without glasses or contacts. I was a -10 in one eye and a -10.50 in the other. The most annoying side effect is the dry eye and decrease in night vision but I would still do it again in a heartbeat!

A while ago I had a cataract and my Vision is still bad and i need to pass the Vision test in order to get my license so ive been thinking of all my options so would I be able to get lasik eye surgery if I have a intraocular lens (IOL) implant

The surgeon who performed your cataract surgery should have been able to give you an IOL that corrected your distance vision to a point where you shouldn't need glasses. It's important to know if your vision is correctable to 20/20 (or 6/6) or if there's some other pathological reason that you're not seeing well. There are other things that need to be considered as well, such as your corneal thickness. The most important thing is to find an excellent LASIK surgeon.

Hi,

I'm wanting lasik eye surgery in Vancouver, and I'm wondering if it's even worth going in for the consultation. (I have to take 1/2 day off work and drive 1 hr both ways. My eyes are -1.75 for near sighted (which I know falls within their range) but I have a stigmatism of -2.75, which I think may be too much. Does anyone know? Also, any bad experiences?

You should be able to.
The doctors there say that any age over 30 would be the best age to get it done, since you're eyes are still changing before then.

What is the difference from taking HGH or Steriods. As for as I am concerned it is all cheating.

Seriously? You think corrective surgery is the same as performance enhancing drugs? Do you also think it would be cheating for a paraplegic player to have surgery that would help him walk again?

If you fail to see the fundamental difference between steroids and corrective surgery, then I don't think any argument is going to change your opinion.
