Question by Lord Radio: How do I decide which Lasik vision center in my area is the best?
Is there certain certification I should look for? A website that has ratings of clinics in my area perhaps? I live in the L.A. area by the way if anyone else in my area has recommendations.

Best answer:

Answer by EyeSrgn
This is an excellent question. LASIK eye surgery can be a life changing event so you really want to do your homework prior to your LASIK surgery. First, you want to start with good LASIK technology. We would recommend an all laser (bladeless) LASIK treatment as well as a custom LASIK treatment. The all laser system greatly improves the safety of the flap making process while the customVue treatment gives you the best vision. Second, you want the best surgeon. We would recommend a LASIK eye center in which your LASIK surgeon personally does your consultation and discusses with you if you are a good LASIK eye surgery candidate and goes over your every concern.

Answer by wraeth
You have to get a waiver just to get in at the year point. That is policy and you can't get a waiver for the waiver. Should have looked into it before you had lasic.

Question by : Has anyone underwent Laser eye surgery? What are the risks and the cost incurred?
Does it work for all types of vision problem? Does it need any kind of maintenance?

Best answer:

Answer by Adrienne
Laser eye surgery was the best gift I could of ever given myself. I work at a laser eye clinic in Niagara Falls Canada with owner and medical director Dr. Andrew Taylor. I watched miracles happen to people on a daily basis and I thought it's time I do the same for myself. The surgery was completely painless and Dr. Taylor and the staff put me at ease the whole time. I couldn't believe when I woke up the next morning I could SEE. Everything around me was so much brighter and clearer. It's been 12 years now since my surgery and I am still 20/20.

I can't stress enough to you that you should do this for yourself. Just make sure you reseach the surgeon and tecnology that the center offers.

At Lasik Provision where I work, laser vision correction is viewed as an art form and Dr. Taylor's has hand selected an experienced team of individuals who are constantly striving to provide the finest in all aspects of your experience including
? Excellent Service
? Unser pass Expertise
? Superior Technology
I hope that my efforts in guiding you through this process will allow you to see the value in making this advancement in yourself and your sight through this life changing procedure.
Your eyes are very precious and I know at our center we provide you with a level of care that exceeds your expectations. Life was not meant to be viewed through contacts and glasses life is about freedom instead of watching the world go by be a part of it.
This is a simple process that requires a preliminary eye exam and then surgery to follow. You will need to go back for follow up visits to make sure you are healing properly. Just promise me that you will do your research and this will be the best gift you can give yourself.

Question by Chapati C: When do Air Force special operatives receive laser eye surgery?
For the ones that need it. Is it before training, during training, or after training?

Best answer:

Answer by Eric T
Laser eye surgery (both LASIK and PRK) are authorized for the Air Force. This is considered an elective surgery that your commander has to approve you getting. (mine was signed in less than 4 hours). You pick the time when you get it done. Because of the way the process goes and the length of time you are not deployable or allowed to be subject to certain training regiments, it is best to get it after training is completed. do to the restrictions you have after getting it done you will absolutely not get it during training. And I know that there will be someone with an exception out there as there are always variables, but I can pretty much tell you that you will not get it before training.

Good Luck!

Answer by prototyperoses
CareCredit and Capital One are some of the most popular places to get low interest rate financing. They finance procedures such as Lasik eye surgery. Depending on what the cost of Lasik in San Diego, they may be able to do the full amount, but possibly only partial if the cost is too high.

Just wanted to get an idea of how much it costs per eye now a days. In particular, I was wondering about the Windsor Laser Eye Inst. just across the border in Canada (I live near Detroit) or even the Rhamini Inst. Any help would be appreicated.

Best answer:

Answer by darealqueen
approx $ 10,000.00 Remember there is a risk involved. I am already legally blind and I would not risk my sight.
