I had a fabulous experience with them. I was referred by a friend who had had radial keratotomy by Dr. Maloney 20 years before and was thrilled with her result. After doing some more research on the procedure and on his office, I decided to get a consult there because of his extensive experience with refractive eye surgery.

I was impressed with the office. He explained the procedure and the risks to me and why I was a good candidate for the procedure, even with a severe astigmatism. I was also having problems with dry eyes and the tearing was driving me crazy. He said he could plug the lacrimal ducts to help alleviate the problem. I was nervous because it was my eyes but I've worn glasses since I was 8 years old and had terrible vision without the correction. After a major earthquake in Southern California, I couldn't even see to find my glasses. I finally had to have one of my kids look for them. I really wanted to be able to see without glasses.

I was thrilled with the procedure AND the lacrimal duct plugs. I never had any complications and didn't need any correction. There were places that weren't as expensive (I paid $2,500 each eye) but I didn't want to take a chance on my eyes.
